Crow 01:55
You can put me in prison It won't change a thing Addiction's my prison The bell that I ring I mean it when I tell you I love you, I'm over You mean it when you tell me You love me, it's over My father's a crow is a crow is a crow My father's a crow is a crow is a crow My father's a crow is a crow is a crow You can leave on the silky black wings of your soma Back to the place down below the pale coma And challenge the sky to admit that it knows you Or fill me with light That I might find the place I can go Where my father's a crow is a crow Where my father's a crow is a crow

about

HNS’s latest release Crow (2023) is a brief electroacoustic/vocal incantation that takes a trip to the underworld and back. Where "Crow" drops down, its B-side rises up: “One Way Street” (1990), a cover song, is a funerary interpretation of Mark Lanegan's elegiac admonition, elevated to a narcotic chorale. Wurlitzer, Mellotron, and electroacoustic trap beats root a complex interplay of harmonies. Crow is the first single from HNS's upcoming electroacoustic album, Songs from the Silence (2023).
